Kev joined Stömp as a fiddle player and decided to bring along his mandolin as well. Now, in a bid to hear himself on stage, he has taken to playing some Telecaster- so if he gets started on how much kit he has to bring to gigs, just remind him that he wasn't hired as a guitarist.
Kev's musical DNA includes some disparate strands, from the Royal School of Church Music to The Grateful Dead, but as far as Stömp is concerned, twenty five years of playing fiddle for Morris and country dance is what counts. From time to time you can find him creating the powerful mandola riffs that underpin the dance band Stocai or in concert with the Living Archive Band.
