Stömp are a high-energy English Ceilidh band

whose musical radio is tuned primarily to the traditions of England but is avidly listening out to the rest of the British Isles, across to Scandinavia and Europe  in one direction and over the  Atlantic to New England and Canada in the other.

Concertina, flute, mandolin and fiddle weave an intricate and imaginative mix of  marches, polkas, hornpipes and schottishes over the solid foundation of one of the most flexible & muscular electric rhythm sections in the land.
A huge range of traditional and contemporary sources are brought together to create an excitingly infectious sound and the dance floor is guaranteed to feel the effect.

And in case you're wondering 'Why the umlaut?' Read more here.
